Default S15 Sonoma 2.8L engine swap?

Hi there, I got a 1991 gmc Sonoma with a 2.8L V6 engine, looking to do a swap for better power but not sure where to look, I’ve heard the 350 engine works good but not sure if it will for my specific light truck? Any pointers here ??

Man, guys swap 350s into S10s all the time, of course it'll work!

If you're going through the effort and headaches of an engine swap, you might as well go big. Check out jags that run, and s10v8 for swap parts

I know a 4.3 transmission will bolt right up to a 350, I think the 2.8 is different, though. I believe it's a 60° engine, vs 90° for the 4.3 and V8s.

Maybe there is an adapter, I couldn't tell you. Might have to get a new transmission.

But most likely any engine you swap in will need a new transmission, as well
