Default Supercharger Kit for 2001 GMC Jimmy 4.3 V6

Hello, I don't know if this is the proper site to ask about a Jimmy. Im looking for a supercharger kit for a 4.3L V6 in my Jimmy for a fun project. Was there ever a kit made for it or would I have to swap in a V8? If so, could a V8 fit in the engine bay of a Jimmy? I thought I remembered reading about someone who put a 5.0 or 5.3 in a Jimmy but I might be thinking of something else.

There were supercharger kits made for the 4.3 years ago. Not sure if there any more, though. I also can't recall the name of any company or companies that had them. If I recall somewhat correctly the kits promised 50-70hp? Something like that. Do a search on the net and you can probably find something.

The Jimmys and Blazers are basically the same mechanically so this is a good place for Jimmy questions.

To answer your second question, yes people have done V8 swaps in the S10 platform. I've never done it but it can be done and I think there are or have been kits for this.

Like others have said, there aren't any companies left making supercharger kits for the 96-2005 GM 4.3L engines. Wynjammer was one of them, but I think that company went out of business.

I think any supercharger you did today would have to be a custom setup, and would likely be in a similar cost neighbourhood to doing an LS swap. .
