Default '00 Blazer No 4WD

I recently purchased a '00 Chev 4x4 Blazer which I can't get into 4WD. When I press either the auto4w or the 4hi all that happens is the appropriate light blinks. I can say I don't hear much of anything during this process. When I return it to 2hi the appropriate 4w light then goes solid until the 2hi completes and then turns off. I have done some reading as to what may be the problem; TC encoder motor, TCCM, vacuum switch/lines, vacuum actuator, cable, connectors, etc.
I suspect the motor because I don't hear anything...shouldn't I be able to hear something?
Will the other components function only waiting for the motor to do its part? For example, should I still expect to see vacuum on the actuator diaphragm irregardless of the motor condition?
Can someone explain the "normal" sequence of events that should occur? I'm not sure where to start other than I did check the fuses.

Default RE: '00 Blazer No 4WD

Fixed it...thanks to other threads in the forum. Problem was the vacuum line was somehow broke off right at the vacuum switch, reconnected and it worked perfectly. Thanks.
