Red face 02 Sensors & 4 Wheel Drive

Hello All,
First I want to say, please forgive my ignorance, however, this is why I have joined this site to learn about my vehicle. My husband passed a year ago so now I must research myself for many issues. AND OF COURSE, my 1999 4.3 ltr all automatic Chevy S-10 Trailblazer is on the top of the list. I appreciate everything and any information you can provide so I know that I am not getting ripped off by a mechanic telling me it's one thing when it's actually something else so they can make more money from me. Now I'll get to the point concerning my issues and questions.

I allowed the Chevy Dealer to give me a 21 point inspection. What I found VERY ODD was when I got the vehicle back, the "SERVICE 4X4 LIGHT" was lit. I allowed them to replace the 02 Sensors on the car and the "Leaking Heater Nipple" to the tune of almost $800.00. My question is can either of these replacements have anything to do with the 4x4 light being activated due to poor workmanship?

If so, please email me at [email protected]. I am turning my vehicle in the morning to my regular mechanic and I want any and all information I need to give them to check before I replace an "ENCODER MOTOR" that I may not need.

AGAIN, I appreciate any help you can give me. If anyone needs or would like to see the list of issues the Dealer stated I need, I will be happy to PDF the report and forward.

Thanking you in Advance,
Alyson Hoyt
