1988 2.8 Tranny Match with 4.3 Engine?

Default 1988 2.8 Tranny Match with 4.3 Engine?

So i have a 2 wheel drive s-10 with a 2.8 in it and it has a 5 speed and my 1988 s-10 4x4 blazer hasan auto tranny. Can the 5 speed be swapped with the automatic?

Default RE: 1988 2.8 Tranny Match with 4.3 Engine?

Completely different bellhousing bolt pattern. The 2.8L is a 60* V6 and the 4.3L is a 90* V6. The 90* V engines have a much larger bolt pattern.
