I just purchased this 1989 s10 blazer tahoe from the original owner. he had all the receipts of everything ever done to this blazer, including a remanufactuered motor, which has about 16,000 on it. It ran fine for a couple of days. then it started to give me starting up problems. Just cranks over and over. after sitting overnight, I cranked it again, again, again, started coming back to life, finally starts up, revs up! drove it a few miles, then it started to cough and sputter, dies. towed back to the house. just turns over and over. so I disconnect the fuel line at the fuel filter that's located on the chassis half way up the fuel line, disconnected it from the carb. blew out the line with compressed air. gas was flowing by itself from the tank out thru ther filter. didn't mess with that portion of it. re-connected the fuel line, but left it dis-connected from the carb, turned on the key and observed gas coming from the line, not shooting like a fire hose, but bubbling and gurgling out gas, filling the line back up from being blown out. when I turn on the key, I can hear the full pump buzz for a few seconds, then stops. I can do this over and over, but then after 4-5 times doing that, the full pump does not make the buzz anymore. what' up??
**note** when I first purchased the blazer, it had pressure in the gas tank, when opening the cap, it releases the pressure. I noticed that is no longer the case. no pressure in the tank. I had to have it emmision tested to put the vehicle in my name(when it was running fine) it passed with flying colors, nice and low readings like a new motor should. It also passed the tank pressure test. The next day it started to give me problems. any help out there???

clogged fuel pump filter? i believe it's a sock-type looking thing when you pull the pump out. but if your gonna check that, you might as well just replace the whole pump.
