Hello...1993 s-10 Blazer 4x4 4.3 vortec engine will purr at idle ....But when I bring the tach up to about 2500 the motor starts popping and the smell of fuel is very strong and will not move very far. This occured when a family member was driving and some thing seem to "pop" and they were able to limp it home...I have recently changed the following parts.....plugs{twice}....cap,rotor,wires,fuel pump, Fuel filter{twice]ignition solenoid.....I have not purchased a timing light yet.....Any help would be greatly appreciated.I also changed the fuel spider a couple of years ago.You guys and this forum is awesome....

 

check for fuel leaks and vacum lines that are off and take a can of brake cleaner and spray ariund the intake to see if its leaking
