1994 Jimmy Trans Problems..HELP!
Ok everyone heres the deal, I just bought this 94 Jimmy a couple weeks ago. 136k, 4x4 very very very clean for its age..its been taken care of, now I did a tune up 2 days after I bought, cap, plugs, wires, rotor the whole 9. I just recently seafoamed it as well...now heres my problem and bare with me Ill try and explain it best I can, if anything Ill take video of it when it does it if I can. The same night I did the tune up, I was driving a movie and sitting at a stop light when I went to take off, the truck wanted to go nowhere fast...the rpms climbed very very slowly and the truck was barely moving (it was revving up to 2000 to 2500rpms and would not really go any higher and pick up speed) it did this till I got to the movie turned it off came out afterwards and it was fine all the way home tons of power, chirp the wheels off the line and everything. That was 2 weeks ago, since then I checked the trans fluid all is good its full and smells good no discoloration, no burning. I decided to use seafoams trans tune just for the hell of it. So i did that, now today I leave work for a doc appt. drive the truck for 15mins and as soon as I pull into the parking lot it does the same exact thing, no power it just revs up towards 2500rpm and goes nowhere basically(cant chirp the wheels from a stop or anything takes off extremely slow), I park go into my appt, come back out after an hour its fine again, chirp the tires plenty of power, I get to a stoplight about a mile from my work try to take off it does it again, I stop at the gas station right next to my work, turn it off go in grab a sandwich come out and its fine again the rest of the way too work...Now keep in mind the truck does not misfire or sound bad or anything, it runs fine just no revs and goes nowhere it doesnt sputter or die. And its not just from a stop, I have no pickup after I get going 25mph or so, I cant pass anyone or anything it wont drop down into gear and rev.
Anyone have any ideas? Oh and today while it was doing durin my doc visit between the times when it had no revving issues, it was shifting awful hard. thanks alot
haha sorry guys this is actually a 93..and ive been searching around could this possibly be a fuel pump issue? Or some leaking and not holding fuel pressure? I smell gas when I fill up.
Oh and there are no codes showing either, could it be some type of sensor i could try to clean, MAP possibly...any help guys?

Please have patience. No one here gets paid to give you advice.
Have you tried any searches? Have you tested anything that could have an impact on this (coil or ICM)? What testing have you done? It definitely sounds like an electrical issue.

I'd be interested in finding out what you find out about your tranny problem. I just bought a used '95 with about 140,000 miles. Had it only a few days. It seems to only slip on acceleration for a short time until it warms up. Usually only takes a couple of miles. It's been in the 30's here. Fluid looks OK. Thinking of draining the system and replacing fluid this weekend. Now I know why the dealeralways warmed it up for me before test drives! Let me know what you've done.

Check out the tech section - swartlkk has a great list of transmission troubleshooting suggestions. Somewhere in one of the threads I did find something specific to this cold transmission situation also posted by swartlkk, but I lost it. It had something to do with a stuck or cracked valve, but don't quote me. swartlkk is a guru and hopefully he will respond again to our questions.
