Ok guys so might not need a new transmission. It skips 1st starts off in second wont go into over drive. Throws a shift solenoid code. Clear the code starts off in first an goes all the way to over drive. Stop at a red light an code pops up an wont go to 1st or OD again clear code an it shifts perfect. Any ideas ? Ready....Set.....Go!! Lol

Might start by changing out the shift solenoids. Just be careful not to break them when removing or installing the pan. Easily broken. May want to also change out the 3-2 coast down solenoid while pan is dropped. It is a known failure item.

Ok so we swapped entire transmission. Did not fix the problem. I can still clear code an it shifts perfect until I stop an then have to clear code again. Turns out it's the ECM no problem got one from LKQ 20 bucks WOOHOO !!!!! Wrong !!!! No WOOHOO put it in an truck wouldn't start. Not sure why it came off of a 1998 s10 blazer same motor he'll pretty much same truck I have mines just a GMC. Old ECM is fried it smells like a burnt amplifier. Not sure why the other won't work. I'm no mechanic I'm a stereo guy lol

Dealer wants 190 bucks to flash it. That's crazy. A company called FS1 inc has one I can get programmed to my vin for 80 bucks plug an play so they say. Is there any other way like a secret code or something. Like Nintendo Up Up Down Down left right left lol
