Default 2.8 V6 Carburetor Alternative?

Okay guys! I have a question that may upset some but I don't have the cash or time to swap in a new motor. I have a 1983 GMC S-15 Jimmy with a 2.8L V6. Now I have been looking all around but I might have found a solution, but I am wondering if anyone else has done it. I found an adapter that says it will bolt to any four bolt Rochester 2 BBL and convert it to a Holley Carb. Here is the link.

Trans Dapt 2086 Trans Dapt Performance Products Carb Adapters - Free Shipping on All Orders @ JEGS

Is it a good buy? I know that every single person with the 2.8 wanted to just destroy the stuid Varajet II on that motor. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you so much.

Right, I know the weber is available but I want to know the adapter plate will work because I want to put Holley 2300 2-bbl carburetor on it. Thanks again man
