Default 2 broken blazers to make 1 (opinions please)

ok im going to start with a story before getting to my real question so you know the history lolo

i started off with a 1995 blue 4dr blazer with a carb set up not tbi yes carb a quadrajet. i got stuck in a mud hole and spun two main bearings

so i took a short block from my auto teacher and everything went good but we had to make a custom oil pick up beacuse i guess i got the worng oil pan and it was too shallow

everything went good and when we went to start it it blow a rear main seal so i fixxed that and still blow it so after a total of 3 seals and trying to find the cause i gave up

i bought a new balzer 1997 black 2dr 5 speed blazer and started building this one up

so my question is for the black one should i keep the engine in it now it has 119k and redo the rotating assembly with the engine from the blue one or take the blue ones engine and find why its building to much pressure and blowing the rear main seal or just start from a whole new short or long block l

moneys really tight i do have all the gaskets to do a rebuild tho new mounts etc

I would do the black one and sell me the blue one cause I have a engine to put in it. from a 96 that was just wrecked. I hope your on Long Island or near me...In matter of fact you look rich enough to just give me the blue one. Now let me give you an idea why you kept blowing the rear main. Check the oil pump relief valve. and plastiguage the crank bearings to see what clearance you have. also check the crank where the seal rides for any sharp protruding pieces or even small depressions. I'm giving you the benefit of doubt you are putting the rear main seal in the right way.
If you do decide to fix it put a oil pressure gage on it to check oil pressure when you get it running. To blow 3 rear seals something is not being put together right, something is ripping the seal or something is causing excessive pressure.
The only times I have run into this is with pressure relief valves not working , or when I would build dry sump systems for engines. In my time it has only been 3 engines I had that happen on. one was the mechanic who did it kept messing the wick seal. The others were a machine shop error.

By the way that is a sweet looking black Blazer. Really fix it up and keep the engine in it

I'm interested to look at anything I go out to Calverton to shoot so I know were you are. Pm or send me a number to call our I will send you mine. I'm headed to Great neck soon for a MRI of my back, but I will get in touch with you. How much of a lift and did it have a 4.3 to start with.
Mauve I can look at the engine for you that the seal Jeeps blowing on and give you an idea what it can be.

In matter of fact if your interested I have a 96 that I was going to part out. The tires are Yokahamas 3 Weeks old. And I did work to my engine and Trans a while back. The front was hit and I have a bent frame. That's why I say I have a engine and Trans to throw in the blue one

The thing is yours its OBD1 mine is OBDII. Though I can pull the harness and computer to pit in the blue one. My seats are like new but cloth.
