2000 auto 4l60e swap issue
We lost the tranny when my wife drove it and she kept telling me something isn't right, she says she steps on the gas and nothing happens. I'm thinking it's that old problem of engine lag, which was a dirty MAF sensor. Well , no...it was some little critters up near the firewall chewing on some wires. For everbodies information, some wire insulation is soya based so they chew. They just happen to chew through my tranny shift solenoid wires which put the tranny in safe mode. She was driving everywhere in third gear. So this leads me to this question. Whats the best way to get to the top two bellhousing bolts? I've worked on lots of Corvettes and thought they were the PITA but my, this change is the biggest PITA I've ever dealt with. A lot of the connectors won't unplug, the cooling lines are jammed right up there.Has anybody got a good way to get those lines back in without being committed to the looney bin? Any help is appreciated.
