Default 2001 4L60E in a 94?

I'm looking at a 94 S10 Blazer that has a bad transmission, and I have a 2001 GMC Jimmy parts truck that has a good trans. Both trucks are 4.3 liter 4L60E 4x4's. Can I just put the newer trans in the older truck without any issues? Thanks in advance

Won’t work. 94 hs on/off type lock up strategy the 2001 has a PWM type. Totally diffrent PCM needed to control. 94 is a one piece case the 2001 is a 2 piece case. Good luck.

No problem, good luck.
Also forgot to mention that the 2001 wil have a MLPS (neutral safety switch) on the outside of transmission and the 94 doesn’t use that.
