Hi I am new here and could use some help please. I am having an issue where at times Truck hesitates then will go and when I go in reverse and start to back up it will shut down completly then have to restart the truck. Last year put on a new fuel pump. One mechanic said he thinks it is a fuel pump issue and another said bad gas and a diffrent one where I had the fuel pump done said my air pump but my air pump is for emission and nothing else. I am not sure where to go at this point and could use some help please.

When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced?

Does the car idle low when put into a forward gear?

 

The filter was replaced in October. Yes it does and at times it does shut off and have to restart it seems to happen more when I first start the car. The rest of the day seems to start fine and once in awhile it will give me issues during the rest of the day. When I go in reverse I will back up and then when I am almost done backing up it dies.
