2001 Chevy Blazer problem... HELP!!
First of all this is a GREAT Forum and I have gotten a lot of info here in the past. I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer 4wd 4.3 W vin with 205000 miles.
Im having seberal problems that have me pulling out my hair..
First when I start from a stop the engine has no power unitl I get up to 30 or 40 mph and seems to have a random miss. I have to pull it down into a lower gear to get it going. It seems to run fine until it warms up. I have tested the coil and it is getting fire. Fuel pressure is 59-60 and 54 respectivly. at times when I accelerate the tach goes crazy and the needle jumps from side to side. I also have a random starting problem, it will do nothing, then if I turn the key off and on several times it will finally start. Im leaning towards and ignition or distributor problem. Or a vacume problem.
Parts replaced so far..
Distributor Cap and Rotor (duralast) same prob prior to changing.
plugs
Plug wires
Fuel pressure regulator
all new intake and plentum gaskets
Spider assembly cleaned and rebuilt, new seals and gaskets
New fuel filter
Fuel pump is 1 year old
Tranny is 2 years old
New timing set and cover
MAF sensor (used)
Air Filter
ECM and programmed at dealor.
Any help would be great, im about to set it on fire.....

I havent had it scanned since i did all the new work, It was throwing a bunch of random codes before but they were intermittant. Crank sensor, random misfire, coolant, o2 sensor. The Check engine light is back on though.

Yeah, I would just take it to Autozone or something and have them hook up the scanner and pull the codes to see what it's saying.

Its funny you say this my truck was doing the same thing with the no power but my head and dash lights were flickering on and off as well, Come to find out on my own since no one at any shop I took it to culd figure out the problem and chevrolet wanted 80 dollars just to look at it I found my problem I a girl found the problem it was some of my wires touching the manifold. after I moved the wires I had no more problems with starting it, lights flickering or the power whatever the wires go to the sure dont like getting hot.. hope this helps
