2002 Blazer
Loaned my blazer to someone and they broke the motor mount and the fan got into the fan shroud and then into the air conditioner line and it ruptured losing all the refrigerant so I got another fan shroud and another AC line three cans of refrigerant and oil and put the oil in the compressor and started with one can of refrigerant and the compressor kicked in and the engine died back up and every time they compressor would engage the engine would die so I read it up a bit so it would not die and smoke and then Sparks started coming out of the front of the compressor did the compressor get damaged when the refrigerant sprayed out because it was fine before

You have to be careful with adding oil. There is some loos from a hose blow out but its usually a small amount. Too much oil can lock up the compressor, even break it, especially if you did not hand rotate after adding the oil. How much did you pour in and where?
