My blazer had the 1-4 solenoid code when I got it. I dropped the pan, replaced both solenoids, and the filter and all was good again. Did someone hit the dome override button?

HaHaHa!! unbelievablely, yes. i have never touched that button in the 5 years i've owned the car so i never thought of that. another case of KISS (keep it simple stupid). hopefully this speed sensor takes care of the shifting issue. i really, really don't want this to turn ugly. thanks guys!!

Word of advise, Do not take your truck to those quick lube shops. All of them are shady businesses. They do not care about your vehicle, they only care about your money. Your best bet is to do things yourself, or take it to a real shop.
I know people that work at many different "named" quick lube shops. and the things they tell me blows my mind.

Haha my ex took her Eclipse to jiffy lube for an oil change and they drained the trans by "accident" but never said anything and never refilled it! She didn't even make it home before the trans was toast! They ended up paying for a brand new tranny for her tho. I never go to those places ever!

brother inlaw had an oil change done on my sisters yukon last winter when it was really cold out
a couple blocks from home the filter blew off because they installed the wrong one
My sister has been known to ignore lights on the dash and thats exactly what she did
her husband followed the oil trail back to a snow bank and found the filter
The lube shop towed the truck back to them and tried to put the wrong filter on a second time to my brother inlaws dismay
He showed them how to look up the correct filter
A correct filter and fill up with oil and it sounded like a monkey with a hammer inside

The lube shops first approach was not to pay because the truck had high mileage
the second approach was for him to go threw his insurance

He called me and asked me what to do
I told him to tell them to put in a motor or deal with his lawyer

They payed for a used motor and instalation
