2005 Blazer difficulty starting after gas fill-up
New to this forum and hope I have posted correctly! I have a 2005 Blazer, 100 K mikes, and for about 2 months the engine light comes on intermittently, which I thought to be related to the locked gas cap which doesn't get a good seal! I changed to a non-locking cap and the light comes on intermittently still. I took it to a local shop just to get the diagnostic's read and they couldn't get a read on it!!!!!
The real issue now is when I have filled up the tank for the last 2 times and crank it up at the gas station, the engine acts as though it can't get any gas and only until I pump the gas pedal vigorously, then it will crank. Any suggestions, thoughts are most appreciated! Thanks!

Your car is fuel injected so pumping the pedal should not be making a difference. And when starting, you should not be touching the gas pedal at all.
But this new problem occurs only after a gas fill up?
No other times?
What happens if you only fill the tank halfway? or 3/4?

Thanks for responding! Yes, I realize that you don't have to press the gas pedal when starting but I only did it because the car would not start. Since this has only happened on the last 2 fillups I haven't tried filling up 3/4 of the way yet.
The first time this happened my "low fuel light" had come on so when I stopped to fill up I didn't know if maybe the car was out of gas and it was compensating when I started it up. I read in one of the post on this site, someone quoted, " don't let the blazer get too low on gas as sometimes it can ruin the fuel pump." I am just baffled as the check engine light is still on. Thanks again for your time!

my advice is never go below 1/4 tank. this will prolong the life of your fuel pump considerable. now it is possible if you ran it completely out of fuel or below were the fuel pump was pulling air you could have damaged your fuel pump. does your gas gauge work correctly too. because an unaccurate gas gauge is often signs of a failing fuel pump
