Default 2200rpm at start, park and in neutral

1995 Chevy Blazer vortex v-6 4.3l
Throttle valve is completely closed! Help.

*Is it possible by clearing the codes (unplugging battery) that the idle be reset to normal? At least temporarily? It's constantly at 2200rpm and the throttle valve is shut tight! ???

Have you checked it for codes? If so post them up so we can help you better.

It is possible for the TPS to cause this symptom.

If you have codes you need to tell us what they are. There are a couple of things besides the TPS that can cause this.

Found the problem guys! Some people, I have read (having the same symptoms), have changed the EGR, PCV, ICU, TPS, have done scans. . . spent tons of money before checking for an intake manifold leak. Yes, squirting a bottle of water around the intake revealed a leaky Plenum gasket just below the TPS. Now, to tackle that job.
