Default #3 cylinder spark plug

I have been doing a tune-up on my 2004 Blazer LS this afternoon and was almost done until the spark plug on the #3 cylinder broke right where the socket fits on. Only problem is that there is a pipe/tube/linkage(?) right in the way making it impossible to get in any further. Any suggestions?

the best and easiest way i have found to do it is go down to autozone and they have a socket with a built on swivel and it is the perfect length. ive tried several times just using a socket and swivel but its to long and u will break the plug almost every time. im telling ya go get that socket and keep it in the glove box cause that socket with built in swivel is perfect like it was made for these blazers. with that socket i can change the #3 plug almost as fast as the others.

its just so much easier to remove the steering shaft. unless your truck is a rotted mess where the shaft is seized to the gear box it only takes like 2 minutes to remove and install that. ive tried everything from the longer socket to a swivel and open end wrenches. last tune up i did after trying for like 10 minutes to get the new plug in i moved the steering shaft. its also kinda nice you can install all the plugs through the wheelwell too
