Default 350 5speed?

Ok, I know it's been done to death and SBC S10's and S10 Blazers are nearly as common as the base truck. My question is, I acquired a 91 2.8 5 speed want to know what would I need transmission wise to keep it a 5 speed with a SBC(likely a 305 or 350)? I would imagine whatever is backing that 2.8 won't handle the power of a 350 nor would it provide the gear ratio needed to make this combo fun while remain frugal when needed. The gears can be accounted for with rear gearset which I'm going to change anyway.

you got a few options.
t-5 (firebirds,trans-am i think too.) make sure u have chevy bellhousing pattern.
nv3500 is 5 speed,and its in some late 90s + blazers.

other then that im not sure. if you are around some "pick n pull yards" (where you pull your own parts) you can get em for like 2-300 bucks.
