Default 358 TBI, Marine Flywheel VS Stock

Kso, my old 88 Flywheel doesn't fit on my 74 block crank. I was wondering if a Marine Flywheel of the same diameter would work correctly on her. I've heard they are a bit thicker, and the only reason I'm thinking Marine is because my neighbor has some in his shed somewhere, we can't seem to find them yet. We are tight on money so we want to try this first before buying a new one.
