3L80E transmission???

Default 3L80E transmission???

Hi i bought a 98 blazer but the transmission is not working in it they told me its a half ton one (3L80E) i was wondering if they are hard to find or which other kind i can put on? Thanks for your help

the 3l80e was found in military Hummer H1s... i doubt it is a half ton rating...

Actually in all the humvees Iv worked on my deployment they all had a 4l60e. So i don't know where you'd find a 3l80e.

my bad, i meant civillian H1 hummers, not military... its identical to the thm400 was replaced by the 4l80e

They are found in full size GM van early to mid 90`s I beleive.Not a good idea to put it behind the 4.3.This trans was built for heavy duty work and V8 power

Find hard to believe that put a problem prone 4l60e in a hummer

Im 95% sure thats what they were thou they may have been 4l80e s but im almost positive they were 4l60e s.That's what I've seen in all the ones over seas thou most were old trucks that didn't leave the fob. Ill double check when I'm at AT in a couple weeks.

Didn't the H1 have the 6.5 in it? There is no way a 60E is going to hold that kind of torque.
