I have a 1999 jimmy that has the 4.3 vortex. My issue is when the motor is cold and starts up, I start to accelerate and it boggs down and shifts hard. Once motor warms up a little it runs fine and smooth. Does anyone know what would cause this?

 

Check the transmission fluid.
