The vent hose coming off the top of the transmission, or is it actually the transfer case? Mine is dry rotted and needs to be replaced There is some kind of clamp device holding it on. You can't see it and have to work by feel. The hose attaches to a plug that seems like it would pop out of the case. There is not much room to work and my old hands don't have the grip they used to have. I wondered if there isn't a part number for he whole thing? The hose terminates at the top of the dip stick tube for the tranny and has a valve of some kind stuck in the end of it. Gotta fix it and all my searches haven't turned anything up.......HELP!

I don't remember mine being clamped to the elbow at the t-case, but it could be. I do remember that the plastic elbow will pop right out of the t case though. See if you can get a little panel popper tool, screwdriver, or little partner on there to help you pop it off.
Once out, it should be easy to take the clamp off and just replace the section of hose....
You could try gmpartsdirect.com if you're dead set on trying to buy the whole thing- but I doubt if it would be available

Thanks! I thought it looked like it should pop out.....well felt like it should. You can't really see it unless you use a mirror. I didn't want to try and pop it out and tear something else up until I knew for sure. Getting leverage up in there is difficult, especially with old arthritic hands! Mine has some kind of retainer on it at the elbow. It may be one of those squeeze type clamps but it only has one ear, so no way to release it even if I could get a hold of it. I'll try popping the elbow out of the case. I appreciate your response.
