Hi
I have a 2000 blazer that the 4 wheel drive selector doesn't work. No lights but lights blink only when you start it. I have read alot of posts but still can't figure it out. It is not the selector itself. I tried a different one from a friend. I plan on getting it scanned because the service 4wd light is on. Does anybody have any suggestions to try before I bring it in to get scanned? The shop I go to is busy until next week so I have a week to check it out. It is a 4 button selector if that makes a difference.
Thanks in advance

Well if your service 4wd light is on then you really need to get the checked out...
as far as the lights on the 4wd selector go I don't know for sure (so this might sound pretty stupid to someone who knows what they're talking about) but I believe there's a fuse that you can pull and reconnect that will reset it in a way...check the car manual for the correct fuse and after you reconnect it I'd give it like 30 seconds before turning the car on, and then let the car run for a minute or two to give it enough time to reset itself...
again I'm just kinda bs-ing that I've gone through that process for other things (like a check engine light) which has worked on multiple occasions so I'd give that a shot
Let me know if that helps!

Pull the TCCM and clean the connections.
