Hey so I can't get my 2000 blazer to engage into 4wd. When I hit the button for 4hi or 4lo either one just blinks and keeps on blinking until I press the 2hi button again. I know that it was working last winter but now I tried to use it tonight after a fresh snow and it isn't cooperating. Anyone know the cause of this. Also I don't notice any noises or anything weird happening when I hit one of the 4wd buttons, just simply the blinking light and no 4wd.

 

3-button or 4-button control? (Does it have the auto button)


NV233 is 3-button
NV236 is 4-button

TCCM and Encoder Motor are typical problem areas. Unfortunately these are not inexpensive parts so it pays to do some diagnosis before replacing parts.
