Default 4L60 and 4L60e difference

1994 Chevy Blazer (full-size) 4x4, L05 tbi engine.
I need a rebuild kit and am having a hard time finding the right rebuild kit. I am certain the tranny is 4L60 with a manual kickdown linkage. What exactly is the difference in the two? And would buying a 4L60e kit be alright to use with a 4L60 tranny? or what else am i looking for? last question, should the kits include clutch packs for all the bands? b/c all my bands keep slipping and have a hard time engaging. thank yall for the help

The 4L60 is the renamed 700R4. The 4L60E is an electronically controlled version of the 700R4. There are some components that are shared, but you really need to get a rebuild kit that is made for your application.

And as I state in any threads concerning rebuilds of automatic transmissions, you really have to ask yourself if you are up for this process. There are a LOT of things that can be done wrong in the rebuild process and experience is necessary to do things correctly. If you don't have any experience rebuilding a modern 4-spd automatic, I wouldn't suggest trying it unless you know someone that can help that has a lot of experience.
