Default 4L60E

I am new here and have been doing a lot of reading about these. My question is this: I have 96 blazer S-104x4. I have the transmission almost out but I am hitting the fire wall on the drivers side of the transmission. I have tried what seems to be everything to get it all the way out. Every thing is disconnected. Do I need to undo the two motor mounts and drop a little to get then need room or am I dumb and just not seeing the light here? Also from what I gather I can use any 4L60E from and 4x4 chevy prior to my year correct? I plan on getting a junk yard special tranny and transfer case then having them rebuilt and I will do the installation. Any help would be great.

My bet is that you haven't removed the very two top bolts that connect the tranny to the engine. There are 9 bolts total...
