Shouldn't have to add anything other than DexronVI fluid. The 180F temp, was that engine coolant or directly from the TFT sensor?

 

I agree, a normal operating transmission should not need anything else. This one is messed up.
The 180 is the transmission temp indicated by Torque which I assume is coming from a sensor somewhere in the transmission.

 

If that's the TFT sensor reading, at 55F ambient, there's a serious problem going on in the trans.

 

I agree. That is the whole reason of the thread, looking information about the transmission because I either going to get one from a pull-a-part or going to rebuild it myself. I doubt i will get an used one anyway, im inclined on rebuilding it myself.

 

1. No movement in any gear: pump failure, or total loss of fluid. R&R, or refill pan and find the leak. If out of fluid, avoid running the engine until the trans is refilled to avoid pump damage. To check for pump failure, check fluid level with the engine off, then start the engine and recheck fluid level. If level does not go down when engine is running, the pump is broken.

Looks like mine. The pump is broken. Can someone explain me what exactly is that pump, where it is and if it's fixable? Thanks alot everyone!

 

Front pump provides hydraulic pressure to operate the transmission. It is the first thing behind the torque converter. Yes it is fixable but you first need to remove the transmission.
