Default 4L60E no 2nd or 4th

I have a 96 blazer with a 4l60e no 2nd unless i let off gas pedal and it wont down shift when floored only hit rev limiter. whats weird is i can pull the trans. fuse and it will have no problems whatsoever shifting. shift solenoids already replaced along with filter. could it be ignition switch or alternator

From the 4L60E Information thread:
No 2nd or 4th gear. 2-4 band is slipping. Servo seals may be damaged (can be fixed without removing trans. Otherwise, 2-4 band is worn out. R&R.
I would say that the 2-4 servo may have a damaged seal and that the line pressure going to max makes everything a-ok. The line pressure should go to max when you pull the fuse.

thats kind of what i thought also but would i get the same thing happening if the internal housing was put in upside down

ok the seals look good and from what i've seen the smooth part of the inner housing goes on top of the bottom piston and when i pulled this out the smooth part was on the outside piston am i not understanding something

the inner housing i pulled out faced the other way so i guess i'll replace the seals install the housing like that video and go from there what does he mean when installing the teflon rings make sure they're set the same as the fourth piston by the way first time chevy owner bought the blazer about a month ago and never have worked on an electronic tranny

ok so im back with another question. i never got around to changing the harness but made it to the river. when i was there i got under it and decided to look at it one more time. well the external connector of the harness i can rotate about 1/3 turn. also in this discovery i was greeted by a small tingle of electrcity. so you think this could be the culprit just half connection?

Anything is possible. I would disconnect that connector and make sure it is clean inside.
