Default 4L60E trans problem

Transmissionmission acts like it's in Over Drive in neutral, car is locked stationary in Reverse, engine feels loaded in ark,, all four forward positions work fine

I'm not sure what you're saying but it reads as though the shifter/indicator does not read what gear selection the transmission is actually in.

Try searching for the procedure to adjust the shift linkage. It's on here somewhere. If that does not work you can always replace the cable in case it has stretched or broke. Either way an adjustment should be performed.

I have had the nut holding the bracket on the transmission come loose and cause the same sort of problem, or at least sounds like what you are having. Might check that to make sure it is on correctly and tight.
