GMC

If there are codes present in my TCCM when I fix what ever the actually problem is, will the 4wd start working immediately or do the codes need to be cleared out of the TCCM
first?

What are the symptoms or suspected repairs to be done? The TCCMs can go bad too.

I believe it will start working immediately and the codes should clear themselves after a number of ignition cycles with no problems detected.

Did you replace the encoder motor ?
if so , did the light stay on after?

The reason I believe it should clear itself is I thought it does a system check when you start the truck....however I could be confusing this with the Astrovan AWD .

DTC C0323 T-Case Lock Circuit Low

Circuit Description

The transfer case shift control module controls the Transfer Case Lock Solenoid.

The lock is energized (locking action released, grounding the Lock Control Circuit) during gear shifts and in AUTO 4WD mode of operation. When power or ground is removed from the lock solenoid, (locking action applied), the transfer case motor is prevented from moving. In this manner, the system is capable of providing a 4H and 4L lock-up without the need of additional vehicle power to hold the transfer case in these positions.

This DTC detects an open lock control circuit or an open Lock feed.

I have not replaced the motor no.
I had the encoder motor dissembled before I had the codes read and the lock solenoid work tho..
I was hopping for it to read back a fault about the hall effect position sensor TBH

I looked over the possible codes and none were directly a hall effect sensor code description, However code CO327 Encoder Circuit Malfunction did mention that there are 4 hall effect sensors in the encoder ...I also seen that a history DTC will clear in 100 engine cycles with no problem detected ...that was mentioned in a CO 374 general system fault.
