4x4 Not engaging?
Whenever i go to engage my blazer into 4 hi or 4 low I can here a noise as if its going to work however it doesnt engage. My blazer has the buttons to switch from 2hi, 4 hi, 4 low. The lights turn on and stay on like theyre suposed to. I was reading threw the DIY post 4x4 "no worky" and am going to try something tomorrow. Im just not overly experienced with working under the car. Im a ''under the hood guy'' lol. What could be the problem? How could it be fixed?

First step is raise only the right front wheel off the ground. Engine at idle, transmission in park, select 4WD HI.
1) Does the 4WD HI indicator light remain lit on the push button?
2) Does the right front wheel rotate by hand?

ok, 4 hi does remain lit and the wheel does move by hand. However when I selected 4lo from 4 hi it just plinked while the 4 hi remained lit

From your results, 4WD HI is working.
When you select 4WD LO, do you hear the transfer case shift? If not, check the connections at the TCCM, (Transfer Case Control Module) located behind the passenger side kick panel. If water gets into the connector it will corrode the terminals.

Crap, I read your post wrong, the wheel should not turn by hand in 4WD. Your right front axle is not locking to the differential. Ok, next step, on the driver side of the transfer case, inboard and slightly above the encoder motor, is a vacuum switch with 3 vacuum lines attached to it. Engine at idle, transmission in park, one of those vacuum lines must have vacuum.
