I don't think it's ever had tranny work before. But i think he did remove the shifter in what ever gear it was in when it stopped working right. But I've already been told by someone as to how to get it back into neutral.

Oh and drperry, the shifting problem is the only thing wrong with it. He said it runs amazing, and that the 4 wheel drive works like it should too. I'm not sure of the over all appearance of it yet either. But he's selling if for $1500 and says that it's got $600 worth of new tires on it that he's including with it.
How much does a transmission usually cost? either new or used, doesn't matter to me as long as it works.

Anywhere from $50 - $2000 depending on where you get it from and the condition it's in, lol
Probably can get a new one for around the $1500 or so mark

Yeah I had seen a new one for around $1600 online. I guess I'll have to call around to a few junk yards pretty soon here to see what kind of deal i can get there.
