700R4 will not shift into 3rd or 4th
Hey guys I have a 1990 K5 4x4 that wont hit 3rd or 4th. Is it possible this cable can cause shifting problems only in high gears?
*EDIT by swartlkk* - Moved into a new thread specifically for this problem. The cable being referred to is the TV cable.

Readjusting the TV cable would not hurt anything...
How does the fluid look and is it at the proper level (checked with the transmission warm, engine running, sitting on a flat level surface)?

Did you attempt to adjust the TV cable using the information I linked to in my post above? If not, it is worth a try...
If you have and it did not change your symptoms, then you most likely have an issue internal to the transmission which will need to be addressed (rebuild).
