84 s10 blazer transmission problems
Ok so I put the blazer into 4 wheel drive this morning and when I went to shift, the transmission would not engage for any of the gears. I naturally looked at the tranny fluid and it was low. I filled it to the proper level, and the truck still will not shift. It makes a clunk like it is going into reverse but nothing happpens. Also when I shift through the 4x4 gears it doesnt feal like im able to get through all the gears. The diagram shows 2wd, 4h, neutral, and 4L, but it feals like its not going in 2wd, 4h feals like neutral, neutral feels like a gear, and 4L feels like a gear. The lights never have worked so I am not sure what is going on. The transmission shifted fine yesterday, but I didn't use the 4 wheel drive. Now it wont move at all.
Any thoughts or ideas would be apprieciated.

I would get under the truck and make sure that the 4wd shift lever is moving the sector shaft on the side of the transfer case. It sounds like it is not connected properly and your transfer case is now stuck in neutral.
