Default 85' S-10 Blazer 2.8, only 13.5 MPG ?

I just bought a 85' S-10 Blazer 4x4. Eng. sounds good, but am pnly getting 13.5 MPG. The air pump was gone, vac. lines a mess. Checked timing, distr. turned 180. I was hoping to get at least 18-20 MPG. Where should I start?

Start by looking to reality and not dreamland lol.
18-20mpg is fairly wishful thinking. There's not too many members here that see that much. Mid teens is the average for Blazers. Especially for an older one like yours.

You can start by doing a good tuneup.
