Default 87 K5-No fuel

I have an 87 K5 that is not getting fuel. What is involved with pulling the fuel pump? Do I have to drop the fuel tank? What should I check before I pull the pump? This vehicle is in storage (outside) and has not been started since Feb. (when it started up fine and was moved).

You will have to either drop the tank or cut a hole in the bed in the back.

What happens if you bang on the bottom of the tank then try to start it? Are you sure that the pump is getting power?
