Default 92 Full size high temp???

Hey guys got a 92 full size with a 350.. shes reading 235* most the time and somtimes rapidly drops to about 210.. had the system flushed, put new water pump, radiator, thermostat, and fan clutch but the temp stayed the same? Is this normal? Also had an aftermarket gauge put in just to see but reads the same. Any input or suggestions?.should i install a colder stat? Currently has a 195.

Did you ever change the rad cap? sometimes the rad caps likes to loose pressure or let air in the system letting the temp run higher then its suppose too

Can you give us some more info about the motor? How many miles are on it? What are the conditions when the temp rises that high? Is the truck stock?

Im just trying to imagine the situation in my head.

Good Luck!

Also an idea alot of people dont think about.

Ive seen people hang things on there front grill,or install covers etc which blocks cool air.

Motor has 190k on it.. nothing is hanging fron the grill. And it happens everyday highway or city.... if i let it sit there and idle most of the time it will only stay in the 215 rang but if i start to actaully drive it goes up.

It sounds like there is still air in the system. Air can cause coolant not to flow properly though the head, especially the back part of the head which is where the coolant temp sending units are typically installed.

Try running the truck through several warm-up/cool-down cycles with the front of the truck elevated, cap side of the radiator slightly higher than the opposite side, with the radiator cap off.

Tried bleeing it agian today but nothing i had already gotten it all out... could it be a headgasket issue? Oil doesnt seem to have any coolant in it. But i can be in stand still rush hour traffic and temp will stay in normal range.
