Default 93 Jimmy 4l60e questions

I am wondering if a 95 or newer 4l60e will go right in my 93 jimmy? Thanks

It will physically bolt up properly, but there were changes in '95 to the solenoids that make them incompatible. You need a '93-'94 4L60E.

OK thanks do you know if there are any parts like valve body or anything that i can swap over to the newer one to make it work? I am getting a great deal on this tranny which is cheaper than fixing the one i have. Thanks

No, the pump and valve body are different and I believe there were some changes in the case to accommodate the TCC lockup changes, but I do not have my ATSG manual handy at the moment to verify.

so I did find out that it is out of a 95 blazer. Is there any way to make this work in my 93 Jimmy? I have been reading about stakeing the PWM? Thanks for replying

Does the front cover on the pump in the '95 trans read PWM?
