Default 94 Blazer F*in up

I have a 94 4.3 W, It developed this problem righ after I unhooked the battery cable to hook up and amp. So Im not sure if I need to unhook the battery and let it reset.

The problems is while driving, aslong as you press the gas peddal anything less than 1/2 way shows no problems. If you go more than half way it acts like it want to downshift but does nothing. Engine seeems to bog and wont pick up speed. If in Neutral you can floor the gas and engine responds very well. Anyone have any ideas.

I am about to disconnect the battery to see if that helps. Also Would a vaccum leak do it. The rubber hose on the vaccuum ball is pretty dry rotted so should i go ahead and change that.

I would doubt that either things would cause this, but stranger things can happen. Let us know how things go after you disconnect the battery. To totally drain the system, remove both battery cables and then touch them together.
