Default 95 astro awd trans to 96 blazer 4x4??

I have been told that this will work but I crawled under the blazer and it has a bolt on bell housing and I'm sure the van does not (I can't look it's at my dads 70 miles away) I know that is different but can I still use the 95 trans in this thing???

You will have to verify that the bolt circle on the back is the same. There were some changes from a 4 bolt pattern to a 6 bolt pattern at the back. I do not have my ATSG manuals in front of me so don't quote me on this, but I believe it was sometime in the 95 to 96 time frame.

I would have to look for my ATSG manual. You can look at the back of the transmissions to know. If you have a 6 bolt pattern on one and a 4 bolt on the other, you know they are not compatible.
