be a little more specific, what happens, any noises, does it just die or what

 

no noises, just dies unless u stay on gas. If you two foot it, it runs and drives great. Thinking fuel filter, egr?

 

try the fuel filter first

 

What is the engine "W" or "Z"?
Is the SES light on when the engine is running?
Hard starting?

Ensure IAC, TPS and EGR are clean and in proper operating condition.
Clean the EGR flutes on the manifold side.
Perform a fuel leak down test. Key on engine off you should have between 60 and 66 psi and no less than 55 psi after ten minutes.
Report your findings.
