95 motor to 96 truck

Exclamation 95 motor to 96 truck

ok i got a 95 blazer w code with a good engine bad trans and i got a 96 blazer w code bad engine good trans ive already started the 96 motor breakdown need to rebuld or swap, easier to swap . question is will the block and heads from the 95 work in the 96 i will be keeping all intake parts and manifold and valve covers on the 96 so no computer problems thanx

Very different engines. The heads on up are different. The heads would have to have the intake drilling redone to match up to the 96 intake. Then, the timing cover could be different depending on which version of the '95 motor you have.

The 95 engine probably will not have provisions for the cam / crank angle sensors that the 96 computer is gonna require... amonst other things as mentioned above.

ok ... humm i guess i should keep the heads also and check for the timing cover ..
