95 trans swap

Getting ready to swap trannys in my 95 blazers, can anyone tell me all the gaskets and/or o-rings I will need to go ahead and order

You don't NEED any, but you should seriously consider changing your rear crankshaft seal while you have the transmission pulled.

Are there O rings on the tranny cooler on the radiator? Those aren't affected by a trans pull but just a suggestion if there are and lines are removed.

and absolutely...change rear main seal. Cheap part hard to get to with trans in.

What about the trans pan? No gasket?

daveca 08-15-2020 11:17 AM

Yes on the pan. The fluid and filter change interval on the 4L60E according to GMs factory manual was IIRC 40K miles so if the replacement trans had nit been serviced, it would be good to change the filter and pan gasket, and clean the pan.

Also check the U joints while the driveshafts are out. Move them thru their range of motion and feel for binding or excess play.

a gasket between the transmission and transfer case? If so what’s it called?

I would also replace the front pump seal on the transmission while you have it out.

Transfer case gasket. Should also change the input seal on the transfer case

SKF 19255 seal Felpro #72769 gasket
