96 4.3 blazer eating coolent

It's not leaking outside the blazer.. I put 1 gallon in it because I wasn't getting any heat thought it was the thermostat, opened the cap I see no coolent. Ok after I add the gallon I get heat radiator is full or so I think... after 5 miles of running again NO heat and now it's running at about 230 and telling me to check gauges.. I have since put in 2 more gallons.. it's not leaking outside on the ground... I went out and looked and theres now again room for more coolent in the radiator... Any suggestions would be great!

I hate to say this but if its not going on the ground its in the engine in places it shouldnt be.
Check your oil asap....i am guessing its gonna look like milkshake. You may have an lower manifold intake leak. The longer you run like this the more damage your doing.

yep your right, just got off the phone with my brother in law.. I told him I have a milk shake on my dipstick. we figured head gasket.. I'll pass along your suggestion of the lower manifold ..... Thanks for your input!!

If you're not blowing white smoke out of the exhaust, it's a big time lower intake manifold leak. Fix it ASAP.

Troubles

I know GM has several bullitins (pardon my spellin) about this problem. Its even worse with new models and the V8`s.They should have had a recall instead of making owners pay the cost out of their pockets.I guess supposedly changed the gasket design to fix the problem.
