TC= Torque Convertor
I have a question ,the original s10 blazer tc is a 4.3 v6, the 98 trans and TC is from a truck with a V8, will there be a problem using the v8 tc in the v6, or can i change the weights to match the v6 tc?

TC? Torque Converter or Transfer Case. You really do need to specify. If torque converter, do not even bother using an old torque converter. If transfer case, it all depends on what you have and what the truck has concerning the transfer case.

TC=torque convertor. The 4l60e from the 97 v6 blazer is toast, I have a good unit from a 98 chevy V8 4x4 with only 33k miles on it (the truck was wrecked in the rear)
I was wondering if the 97 V6 TC and the 98 TC were the same. According to a local auto parts store they have the same TC or part number, I will be using the same 97 transfer case..also should i bolt the transfer case adaptor onto the trans first? or leave it hand loose untill i put the transfer case on?

As I said, I would not install a used torque converter. If you want to then... It likely is the same. Are both transmissions a 2-piece main case (separate bell housing)?
As far as the adapter goes, You should be able to tighten it down first.

I don't care if the only difference is the stall speed, as long as they both(TC) are balanced the same.. the codes are different on the Tcs, but i would assume the full size sub 4x4has a better clutch in the TC vs the v6 blazer.

The reason I say to not install a used torque converter is because of the damage that may or may not be present. Do you want to go through all of the work of installing a "good" transmission only to have to go through it all again and replace the torque converter? Your call really. Everything should bolt up and work fine although the stall might not be correct for your application.

Good point, but its not really my call. The person im doing it for is broke. They do not want to spend more $$ on a TC. I tried to get them to purchace one. But oh well if i have to do it again them that will be more $$$ for me.
the 98 sub trans works good and had no code, or at least it didnt at the time of the wreck..
Thanks for the info ..I was more worried about the balancing of the TC.

Every TC is balanced. And the flexplates are likely to be identical between the 4.3L and the V8 that the truck used.

ok thanks i wasnt for sure if GM balanced all of the TCs the same, or they were different for each engine. The 4.3 flywheel is balanced also.
and both TCs of these 4L60Es are balanced but the weight is located in different spots, so i didnt know if that would cause a problem.
