Default 98 blazer wont start.

a friend of mine brought her 98 blazer 2wd over. she told me it wouldnt start or crank and a shop told her she needed a new engine. i attempted to start it and it cranked weak so i charged the battery and it would crank a few times then get weak.. i check fuel psi 61 key and 58 cranking checked spark and it had that.. spun it over by hand and it wasent to hard. any one have any ideals? ive located a used motor. the battery seems too loose volts after trying to start it for 10 seconds goes to like 12volts . but im thinking it may just be abad battery. it wouldnt crankforlongeven with the charger on it.

checked the oil it was ok.. i also double checked all the injectors. i disconected the main harness and i had power to six when the key was on but i had no grounds. off or on any of the wires. so that would seem like a problem to me.. i tried to start it on break clean also. as for the battery witht he charger on it was at like 13.5 volts but right when u cranked it it would go down in the low ellevens. also withought starting when u disconected the charger it would drop pretty quick. so the battery is obvisley one problem but im thinking i should have grounds right. i used test like from b+ to harness side off the grounds.

a buddy corrected me i would not have a ground because the pcm controls that. but im going to get a new battery and mess with it more this weekend.. he suggested that 2 things when he worked on gm that are a possibility are the fuel pump. he said that the pressures would be ok but u wouldnt get the flow.. and he said the distributer cap would be bad even if u were getting spark.

ok well i got another battery today. and it was pretty much doing the same thing dropping real fast couldnt get more than a few cranks. so i removed the starter. it was pretty nasty looking. and i hooked battery back up and it droped some probly .10 to .20 volts in 10 mins but not like it was.. im thinking mabee the starter has a drawl? the battery goes dead even withought touching the ignition. is there anything else on that path that could drawl other than the starter??? ok so i was trying to figure the drawl part out 1st.. but i noticed that the first few times turning ign on there was no fuel pressure but i heard the pump running but it sounded diffrent.. after a while i tried again and i had like 40psi with key on.. later it would go to about 55psi then once u shut the key off go up to 61. somtimes u had nothing. and when i tried to pull some fuel out the psi would drop and id get mabee a squirt. let me know what you think thanks..
