This is a electronic transmission 4l60e but my shifter cable kinked so i put my blazer in park manually and you can push it... also if you drop it to drive, reverse, 3rd, 2nd, or 1st its almost as if the transmission is not shifting at all like the transmission is in neutral.... i have a quote on a tranny rebuilt with a kit from monster transmissions for 600$ but im wondering if that is what my transmission actually needs i have put a 02 4.3l V6 H.O. Vortec motor in. Put it in drive or any other moving gear and it just revs as if in nuetral or park but you can push it.. somebody give me an second opinion

 

Has anyone actually dropped the pan on this yet? It is quite possible that the actuator rod has somehow gotten disconnected from the valve body.

 

I have dropped the pan but i dont know much about a transmission i am currently going to automotive school becoming a ASE Certified Mechanic... with that being said i do not know what i am looking for but i am lookin at a 700$ overhaul/rebuild if i cannot fix it myself so any input would be helpful
